Let's Dive Into Pools
Pre-fabricated pools are becoming a popular feature in residential projects. This is part of an overall trend propelled forward by COVID-19 of turning a residential property into a self-sustaining unit of dwelling, leisure, and work. For example, when setting goals for this project, the owners mentioned they wanted to turn their property into a "one-family vacation resort".
Before the pandemic, leisure amenities such as pools and outdoor kitchens would be considered high-end amenities that are affordable only to some. However, we see a rising demand for these amenities as more homeowners aim to turn their property into an all-in-one locale for all their needs.
Private pools became more common due to the recent proliferation of pre-fabricated pool manufacturers, perhaps as a response to the soaring demands. But what is a pre-fabricated pool anyway?
A custom pool would typically be built in-place out of concrete, while pre-fabricated pools are brought to site and are usually made out of fiberglass or corrugated steel. Unlike custom pools, pre-fabricated ones require no planning, are pre-engineered, more affordable, and easier to install. Another benefit of a pre-fabricated pool is that a homeowner can take it with them when moving houses. However, these kind of pools also have some noticeable disadvantages. For example, the selection is limited to particular shapes and sizes, their materials are less durable, and they cannot be customized to add additional features like lighting, jets, or spa.
