Playgrounds come with additional rules and regulations not found in other projects. One important regulation is the Fall Zone, or the clearance around all climbable elements. Within this area, no hard surfaces, structures, site furnishings, or hardscape are permitted, and designing within the zone can often become a challenging geometrical puzzle. While the dedicated play area can seem generous, the usable space is actually much smaller, and we delight in finding ways to make the most of every square metre.
